::Into the Shadows, The Magic Begins::

Let's go ahead and get rid of some of your misconceptions about what a witch is shall we?

Myth#1. Witches sacrifice animals and children.
Actually true but not in the way one would think. Witches do make sacrifices...of themselves by volunteering their time and energy to helping mankind. Witches are the healers. They are the ones you will find working in human interest fields. They care about what happens to their fellow man and woman and in caring, they offer healing energies so that others are helped.

Myth#2. Witches fly on brooms.
False. Witches use their brooms just like anyone else..to clean with. Yes a witch will have a special broom that she/he uses to cleanse their sacred space with by not only lightly sweeping the area but also visualizing all negative energy being swept away.

Myth#3. Witches made a pact with the devil.
False. Witches have no concept of something or someone that is purely evil such as the devil. The devil is actually a bastardized version of the Great Horned God who is ruler of all that is wild and free.

Myth#4.A male witch is called a warlock.
False. A male witch is simply a male witch. The name warlock comes from the old language. Roughly translated it means "oath breaker". In the Burning Times, many churches would send in spys to infiltrate a coven so that they could learn who the witches were. These spys were the "warlocks".

Myth#5. Witches cast spells and hexes.
True and False. Yes witches cast spells..but for good only. We don't do the hex thing. You see, there is something that is called Karma. Any energy you send out, you will recieve back. So why would one put themselves in danger of Karmic repercussions and try to harm another by "hexing" them?

This is just a small list of myths about witches. If you have any questions you would like answered, just drop me a line.
