ACCEPTANCE
It has come to my attention so many times that we as a people tend to deem what others believe in as odd, dumb, or just plain wrong. This is not the way we should be. Why must we try to force our views on one another?
Personally I feel that all paths have merit. Yes I said all paths.
I am pagan, but that doesn't mean I cannot respect someone else for being christian or walking any number of other paths there are. Too many times I see those that profess to be one thing..turn out to be something else entirely. This saddens me greatly. To tell someone they are wrong, or they are stupid for what they feel to be right for themselves is a contradiction of what the Goddess and God said to us.
First off, we should love all. And I do mean all. I'm not saying you have to like everything they do or say..but you must love them for who they are.. a part of you. Whoa... slow down I hear you say? Ok..let's delve a bit further into this.
Each man, woman, and child comes from the exact same place. I'm not talking geographically, I'm talking spiritual. As such, we are all apart of each other. Since that is the case why in the hell would you try to harm yourself by telling someone they are wrong?
I've seen pagans as well as christians tell someone they are wrong for believing in a certain path or tradition. To me, it doesn't matter what a person believes as long as they do believe in the Higher Power. My feeling is this...if you try to force what you beleive on someone...you are trying to take away their free will. That is something so very precious to me. I cannot tell you what or who to believe in, and neither should someone else do that to you.
In closing, I have but one thing to say...I love each and every one of you out there, whether I know you personally or not. That is all that matters to me. Follow where your heart and soul leads you, and you'll never go wrong.
